The Right Costume and Band

I have been away for the week all trapped up in the net called SCHOOL. While I was away, I realised that I needed to address a few topics but the more important one being choosing the RIGHT band and the RIGHT costume for you for Carnival Monday and Tuesday.The right band : TRIBE/Bliss and Island people is THE Teenie Bopper band, so if going for either note that there will be many youngsters. YUMA, is new and from what I see they have a mixed crowd. Ronnie&Caro is generally a band mixed up like, JUST the right mix of people and the BEST vibes.Spice is a mix aged, the age vary from 20-40. Harts if yuh aunty, uncle, nene and all wanna play, well yuh know where to go. McFarlane and Skulldugerry will attract the older peeps. Wee Int is just the wild and loose band yuh could get on WASSY . SO don't choose the band where D Crew is, choose the one that BEST SUITS YOU and yuh 10 cents. THE RIGHT COSTUME: Now, this depends on you, your body size and shape. Always watch EVERY SINGLE DETAIL on the costume, if possible go to the mas camp and enquire about what you are uncertain about. So I hope you use my advice as best as you possibly can, because I HATE to See people unhappy with the costume and the band they choose. After all you are paying your 10 cents. I personally recommend Ronnie&Caro for the BEST experience and the best costume. PLEASE email me if you have any other questions.

The Mass and Marse....

So for some time, it has been debated for a long while that we Trinis are forgetting our culture, but really and truly thais just talk...... It is the simple, some people want the MARSE (all covered up McFarlane) and some want MASS aka BBF(Bikini beads and feathers). What you want is what you will get so if i want just a board shorts I pay for it and if some ladies want BBF, they pay for it and if you want MARSE take yuh MARSE.. SO SIMPLE

I just HATE to hear people RUN THEY MOUTH like water and they talking utter none sense. I see all aspects of our culture DURING the Carnival season and on carnival Monday. It still have the Pan, the Jouvert, The Ole Time Characters, The Calypso and everything else. So think before yuh talk nah !!

Smoke Pollution Footwear finds

Again, there are some people who just prefer sneakers instead of boots for the road... LEAVE DEM NAH.... Doh Judge.... I found this pair of sneakers @jimmyjazz.com which can work well with Ronnie&Caro's Smoke Pollution. I actually wore the brown in those last year for Africa. So try them.........

So I see meh boi Kris of TrinidadEvents.com well upgrade and fancy up, so I say time for we to get moving.. So yuh boi say he'll make the blog an image/logo/ whatever yuh wanna call it !! It Hot eh...... And from now, Is TRINI DIALECT on D' blog nah like meh friend wuzdescene.com..... Yeah man, is time to change up some things and I just reviewing things that could change during this LONG weekend in Trini..... So is Blog On D' Block: Teens to the world..... The Decision

So, 2011 looks like the year of playing mass !! I spoke so highly of my experience in 2010 with them (Ronnie&Caro) that EVERYBODY want to play, is auntie, uncle, cousin, mother, toot baggie want to play. My cousin (my age) and I are LOVERS of Guardian Angel, but the old folks are running for Fire on the Hills. I know my cousin don't change her mind that easy so both of us will be in Guardian Angel (I think), and well the old folks in ????

I also have to ask, which section allyuh like for Blogger Boy?

LOVE ALL but I have more love for those !! Help yuh boy choose ....

Yuh boy went ZEN

Last night, Blackout hosted their event, Blackout3: the Saga Continues at the world famous ZEN (d' place where Akon was behaving). Yuh boy had no intentions of going inno but my friends say come and go. So I got excited when they say ZEN (in my mind RUM and more RUM), and start to get ready. When we reached ZEN, it was like 9:00 and the party was making baby steps. Say eleven, Poison sounds started to hype up d' place and then the party start. Yuh boy was in front (yuh know me) and he was handling the pelt waist some of those girls gave. The bar price was RIDICULOUS, a Red Bull was $30.00 so I say I drinking Orange juice ($10.00 a rounds). All in all, I had a rocking time. There was this girl who was sweaty and kept on throwing waist for yuh boy and some local whites who just could not wine (not discriminating). The Djs had to loud up some of the SOUR FACED GIRLS (it had many so I ended up SHARING a wine) who just stood up PRETENDING to look cute. I left like 2:30 am and for $120.00 the party was REAL good. Ladies PLEASE next time you go a party, MAKE SURE and pelt waist and not stand up sour.

Foot Wear Finds- Bushfire

So today, I decided to go with a sneaker that was tested on the road by my dear aunt. This is the Nike Air Max 2009 and it goes GREAT with Ronnie & Caro's, Fire on the Hills. I am not being bias on the bands that I choose to find footwear for BUT, I will be doing EACH section from Each and EVERY band !!

Footwear finds for the Guardian Angel

So, I am not a fan of seeing males in boots on the road came Carnival Monday and Tuesday. I do not say no but I personally don't like it. I also HATE to see people in they 'GYM SHOES', come better nah !!! For the youngsters, I will try to find you sneakers that are very comfortable and that match with the costume.

So I start with Ronnie & Caro's, Guardian Angel. It is my favourite section and I know, ALL bandleaders LOVE to see when masqueraders from their band, are well matched.
