We Reach D stage

So I got official word that there WILL indeed be a stage for Carnival 2011 so I hope that the process of crossing the stage is done in a ORDERLY manner with bands being given timelines to cross. I can't stand the idea of waiting in line for more than an hour to cross, I will be PISSED they'll maybe make a costume named 'Pissing Mad'.

DKrewe registration is now open BOTH online and at the mascamp. Legacy website will be launched on Wednesday 3rd November 2010.

Saturday in de air !!

So I am truly feeling the carnival bug BITING me (that is why I would love to see a band produce 'Too Much Ah Biting Insects with a section called Carnival Bug or Carnival Fever). I'll me heading down to watch some Intercol football and after, I think I will visit Rosalino Street or even Alcazer street !!! So until then, Have a Safe and enjoyable Saturday !

Sucessful Band... Tips to the band leader! Part 1

So it is a FACT that some bands do not make profit that they set out to make so never worry Captain Carnival is here with tips.



1. Choosing a THEME: It is a fact that a theme helps to create a VIBE on the public. Choosing a theme is REALLY important and also choosing the RIGHT one because you do not want a theme where you make 5 prototypes and yuh just can't vision the next 5, because it is IMPORTANT you stick to your theme and create a storyline.



2. Your LAUNCH: There are many factors you MUST consider when it comes to you launch, the mos important is the date. To ensure you get MAXIMUM media at the launch, DO NOT launch on the same day as another band !! WORSE YET if you are a small band like (Eg. Genesis) and you launch same day as a MUCH bigger band like Tribe. Models also help, ensure your models can WORK the costumes enough to have people wanting to register on launch night.

The Carnival Fever

Well I visited Ronnie&Caro's mas camp last Saturday and boy, we have really reached the stage and we just warming up to take band of the year !!!!! Go Green fronting is SOLD OUT and the female are NEAR SOLD OUT !! Smoke Pollution and Tsunami are also doing well in terms of sales BUT otherwise the others are also going FAST, some faster than others.
